Global/Guides/Best Metal Detectors

THE GOLD DETECTOR BIBLE

Not all detectors are created equal. To find gold nuggets, you need specialized technology—Variable Frequency or Pulse Induction. We break down the pros and cons of the world's best machines.

VLF vs PI: The Debate

VLF (Very Low Frequency)

Best for small, shallow gold and contaminated ground. High sensitivity but struggles in highly mineralized "hot" soil.

PI (Pulse Induction)

The king of depth. Ignores ground mineralization to find deep nuggets, but usually heavier and more expensive.

What to Buy First?
